I am thinking of trading my sr5 16" wheels for the oem enkei 20" wheels. Do you think the swap and $400 dollars is a fair trade. Both my 16s and the 20s have brand new goodyear tires.

Aluminum wheels will crack before they bend. But yes, 20" wheels on an SUV are going to give you a rough ride and reduce the life of your wheel bearings.
surprised you can fit 20"s without doing a lift to prevent tire rub. Agree that your ride will be much harsher due to low profile tire sidewall.
Can't say I've ever heard of a decrease in wheel bearing life by going to 20" wheels. Almost every automobile maker offers standard steel wheels w/ hubcaps for base model cars and larger aluminum wheels for the various upgrade packages. What does decrease wheel bearing life is improper wheel offset (backspacing) as it puts a lot more stress on the wheel bearings.

I've seen plenty of bent aluminum wheels.

Thanks for the replies. I am kinda sold on the 20s because I like the look of bigger wheels and mud tires. I am not a hardcore wheeler and the 20s come stock on the xsp toyotas. I have had 20s and even 22s with larger tires and can handle the ride quality for the look. That's what it's all about, right?
