Installed this today. Took 30 minutes. Made a surprisingly huge difference in the ride. I guess I didn’t register how much I was leaning / compensating for body roll when taking corners. First turn I took on the way out of my neighborhood I leaned out of habit...and the Runner didn’t.

Yup just a few pieces of poly/rubber. Didn’t think it would make much difference- just something cheap and easy to do on a nice spring afternoon in the garage. Pretty surprised by the impact it had.

Good reminder.
I think the sway bar bushings are one of the most overlooked maintenance items here. Especially for how cheap and easily replaced they are.
I can definitely attest to how much of a difference they can make in tightening up the front end.

I’ve been going without sway bar in front for past week (bushings/end links were all crapped out)and ride quality tanked.

Putting it back on as soon as my Energy end links/sway bar bushings get here. hoping to have your same luck! Went ahead and got a set for the tears as well too since they’re also shot.

This thread has inspired me to give mine a swap. Any other bushings I should swap out while I'm at it?

I remember when I first got my runner. it was the first thing I noticed that needed replacing. my fiancé drove the runner one day and thought she was going to roll over cause of the body roll. after replacing all the bushings, she enjoys driving the runner a lot more. Its been the one vehicle we started driving more.

All of them ;p I started with the easy stuff then made my way through the more involved stuff like front/rear lca bushings. Took a couple years but I was able to make my way through and replace everything. The ride would improve each time a bushing got replaced.

Yeah my sway bar bushings looked great on the sides where they are exposed, but once I got em out I could see that they were rounded over and wallowed out. So I wouldn’t depend on a visual inspection. If you haven’t replaced them yourself, spend the dime and the time to swap em out.
