Wheelers Offroad - BEWARE of return policy

this whole thread =

Wow, this thread is great, I cant believe the OP is this upset over $65. ive thrown away parts that cost more than that because I didn't feel like taking the time to call to return them.

Reminds me of a BMW customer last week .2 months ago I balanced the 2 front tires and it was good to go. He had asked me to note on the ticket how far out of balance they were, which I did. Fast forward to last week he brought it in for an oil change. While there he asked me to write a formal letter( on official high-tech letterhead(I guess shops have this kkinda thing???)) explaining how (whatever shop had originally balanced the tires) did the job incorrectly and I had to redo it. This was for his lawyer so he could take them to court to get his $50 back. I laughed so hard as soon as he walked out upset that I wouldn't write a letter smearing a company I know nothing about and cant even prove they did the work.

Shoot I could have made 50 bucks in the time it took me to write this post. Oh well.

I read all 4 pages and all I got was:

OP is a whiny b1tch
Wheelers enforces policy
OP is still a whiny b1tch

Did I miss anything?

This is bullshit. Nobody else would have known that they helped the Op out. Nice try.

The principle behind it is if the shop is going to bend their policies and accommodate him then they should start accommodating anyone else that starts complaining. Nothing BS about it. Clearly he is aware of the policy and is way past the return period. The shop is already willing to give him credit. Should take that credit and be happy.

I'm sure they do bend their policy sometimes, for good customers.
Unfortunately, the OP probably spoke to them with the same whiny, b1tchy, condescending attitude he brought to this post.
I wouldn't of even given him store credit at my online store...

But they should cowtow to my needs because I'm special, and I've always been told that I'm special. The rules don't apply to me!! I'm a member of the professionally offended.

I've had several transactions/emails/calls with Wheelers Offroad and they're a top notch company. Fact of the matter is, you can't please the unpleaseable.

Nothing against the OP, but I wish everyone would stick to their policies. Once you bend, then it becomes who do you bend for and why...and that's when the problems start. Fair is fair for everybody.
