Wheeling in Lake Arrowhead Saturday Oct. 18th,

Hey guys! looking for someone, anyone, to go wheeling with in the Lake Arrowhead area on Saturday October 18th. I live in Long Beach, I would like to be up there by 8AM and hit up some trails. The weather is perfect right now and I really want to take advantage.

Arrowhead

Looks interesting. I have the usual questions - what trails, difficulty levels, pinstriping danger and meeting place. I'm not ready to look like a real off-roader yet, just looking for scenic day trips with wife and son.

Still running a stock T4 with OEM tires.

Pilot Rock Truck Trail from Hwy 173. Fun trail with lots of side trails. Or you could take 15 to 138 east to 173, that will take you up the back way to Lake Arrowhead. I would go but will be out at the track that day with my NSX.

Don't do either of these right after it snows, I nearly slid off one section of the Pilot rock trail, thank GOD for a-trac and luck. I was literally slowly sliding on a tilted hill part because it was ALL mud, I had no traction left on my tires lol because they were covered in mud!

Cal 4WD Club is having a run Friday and Saturday. Looks llike a Jeep group, but they say all are welcome. They have planned runs from wild to mild:

Time is running out to register online for Operation Desert Fun, which starts on Friday at the Ocotillo Wells SVRA near Borrego Springs.The event includes trails for all levels and is open to all vehicles. So bring your 4x4's, UTVs, ATVs and dirt bikes. Even the kids can ride.
