Purchased this 2000 Toyota 4Runner sometime in December 2020 with the intentions of doing an SAS swap. 5 speed manual and non E-locker. My plan is Trail Gear 3 inch front SAS kit and Chevy 63 rear swap.
Purchased Trail Gear's Tacoma SAS Kit C in December 2020 (says in stock but not in stock). So I decided to work on the rear instead.
Pulled the rear axle out.
I should've just went with the Trail Gear rear axle housing but oh well. Cleaned up the stock rear axle housing and getting it ready for the new spring perches and shock mounts.
Found some Chevy 63 springs at the junk yard.
Chop, grind, chop, grind.
After getting most of the stock rear suspension removed, I mocked up the spring hanger, shackles, and leafs.
Rear is pretty much done.
At this point I was still waiting on the SAS kit from Trail Gear, so I decided to install the dual cases.
Still waiting on the SAS kit so I decided to install the shifters.
Several weeks go by and still waiting on the SAS kit, so I decided to put together my Coastal Offroad front bumper.
