yup, clear nail polish stops any rust from forming. if you dont like it chipped, wire brush/wheel the hell out of all 4, and give them a coat of rust-o-leum or plasti dip

Dremel tool with sanding disc... went ahead and sanded off all the flaking paint. Then hit the entire wheel with sanding paper and red scuffing pad. Washed with soap/water. Dried. Primer from a spray can. Then DupliColor wheel paint from a spray can. No more paint chips and flakes to worry about.
