As many of you know, I have the 04 Tacoma rims. To be honest, I'm over them. I want the gunmetal 17" tundra rims but I have too much tread left to buy new tires and spacers and shit...

So, I found these for $190 from a guy nearby.

I was going to get him to 150 if possible, but price aside, do you think they're worth it? I could just swap my tires over and I'm good.

I think I'll keep the Tacoma ones also.

I am thinking of maybe starting my own tradition of changing rims every time I get new tires too...

but yes... would you go for the 02 Limited rims pictured above?

Or do you think I should get another rim? I'm strictly looking for Toyota rims, not aftermarket.

Another thing: I noticed the center cap is not the same color as the rim surrounding the Toyota emblem. Is it supposed to be gray instead of silver?

they are a nice rim with a beefy tire but I'm more for the 5 spoke limited rims.

Those will look really good on your runner, IMO. I think they're a lot better looking than the Tacoma rims you have on there now. I would go for it.

I like the Limited style rims. I used to not like them as much as the 5 star rims introduced in 99, but have grown more fond of them. The part aroudn the emblem will be silver most likely, that's normal. I recently freshened up my center caps and just taped off the whole silver metal part and sprayed them down with some silver auto paint from Duplicolor

i like them. they're similar to the 06 tundra wheels on my 98 4runner. if you already bought them, then sport them for a while. i too like them better than the taco wheels.

Thanks guys for all your compliments and support.

I am going to a tire shop today to see what they charge to do the swap. If they charge too much, I'll just hold til monday where I have all of the equipment at school for free (ie: Tire mounter, wheel balancer, lift, etc)

it took me two hours lol but I guess it's alright considering this was my first time using a tire mounting machine thingy

Like the new look with the 4Runner rims instead of the Tacoma ones. Good choice

I just swapped my old tires over (Goodyear Wrangler RT/S 265/70/r16) since the rims were the same size... I wish i had bfg mt km2s... lol.

I was considering that style you have but the only person I've seen sell those has been trying to sell them forever, he wont go down from 450

450 for just rims... ridiculous......

yeah i bought my set with bfg rugged trails for $220 (craigslist) in san antonio, tx. i was very excited to swap them out, i did it the next day in my bros garage. then, i just recently moved to albuquerque, new mexico and saw the same setup (tires too) on craigslist.com for $200. im thinking the 06 tundras came factory with that wheel and tire package. i'll paste another pic but its kinda far. controling two boys under the age of three (3) and taking a pic of anything is almost impossible.
i like the wheels you got. if its oem toyota on another toyota, why not? nice runner by the way. just bought new tires recently.
