So I'm going about 65 mph around a slight bend in the highway , this stretch is kinda beatup, has little bumps and patches. My truck felt kind of ... wobbly.. almost like the wheels wanna go in a different direction. Kinda like you are forced to grab the wheel with two hands. I have brand new tires and I believe the shocks are original.

Check all the bushings in the rear for wear, that's the first thing I would do.

Should I check the panhard bar as well? I was reading how they can sometimes get loose. This vehicle has lived in a very harsh environment most of its life. I swear the rear end feels like it has a mind of its own sometimes. Is there a way to check the panhard bar? Like shaking the vehicle while underneath maybe?

Thanks, -Z

You can visually inspect the bushings, including the panhard but best to get it on a hoist and use a prybar to check for play. Then I would look at the suspension components and the frame.

Mine does the same thing! I just made a thread about it too actually. I'm thinking it's my old shocks and coils up front!
