When stuck do you use ATRAC or Diff lock?

I think you can use the Mud & Sand on the multi terrain faster than 7mph. Because I've used it in Big Bear is very wet snowy road ( kinda like slushy ) and was going about 20mph...

A bit of past experience
My last off-roader (before the 4Runner) was a 2004 Land Rover Discovery. It had a system very similar to the 4Runner Limited: Full time 4 WD where the transfer case had a lockable differential. and a 4 wheel electronic traction control (forerunner to the A-Track).
Land Rover came up with their 4-ETC in 2000 and it proved to be so good that they disabled the center diff lock from 2000 to 2003. They put the center diff-lock back in in 2004. On the Land Rovers the 4-ETC was always on.
I loved the 4-ETC. It was a bit more aggressive than our A-Trac and would turn on much quicker; perhaps because most of the time I would have the center diff lock turned off.
Anyhow, to bring us up to present day: With the tires that I run -> Toyo M/Ts (E) My A-Trac rarely comes on and when it does it only takes a couple of seconds to get me out of trouble (usually in very loose sand or loose rocks on very steep pitches).
My SR5 does not have a locker or crawl control -> I definately don't miss either one.

Locking diff is active, meaning you'd use it before crossing a stream or whatever. It's planned/premeditated.
A-Trac is reactive, meaning it doesn't do anything until it's too late & senses slip, then it'll help, or react.
They're both great though & I use A-trac mainly since it works on all the tires.
