When will the Bilstein 6112 be released?

IIRC, the coils that are paired with the 6112's for the T4R are Eibach 620's.

TotalAutomotiveLV may be able to get that info directly from Bilstein to add to this post and clear up any doubt!

Seems like I'm missing all the items under the hats

How are everyones 5160's holding up? I haven't seen any reports lately of any leaky shocks. Still trying decided between 5100 or 5160's in the rear with front 6112's.....

5160 Valving Information

Just some information for anyone interested.

I contacted Bilstein Germany directly about the 5100 vs 5160 rear valving.
All the information I've previously found indicates that the 5100 and 5160 are the same, except the 5160 has the remote reservoir for better heat dissipation.

Straight from Bilstein:
25-227611 (4runner rear 5160) - 1415N (Rebound) / 905N (Compression)
33-187174 (4runner rear 5100) - 1280 +- 160N (Rebound) / 1050 +- 135N (Compression)

So there does seem to be a slight difference between the two. No sure how much of a difference it would make with overall ride comfort.

Saker, I picked up a set of Bearing Buddy covers tonight at O’Reilly Auto Parts (model 17B), 2 for $3.69. I can confirm they fit perfect!!!!!!!! They fit real tight; actually I stretched the open end a little with my fingers to make it a little easier to get them started, then pushed all the way down (no lube necessary), the suction created will definitely prevent them from falling off.

Installed!

Wasn’t keen on the white lettering, nothing a little lacquer thinner couldn't fix! I know, I know, I have a problem :loco:

I replaced my 5160's today.
I had a torn lower boot on one of them.

Reason for this post is to show what Bilstein has done to improve the issue we addressed with the open reservoir area.
They definitely did an improvement here.

Interesting. I sold my 4Runner over three years ago and now in a 18 Tundra platinum. Did the same Bilsteins 6112/5160 but my reservoir is the old style
