When will the Bilstein 6112 be released?

So, $660 shipped. Then I'd need new top hats from Toyota, because I'm not going to have stock springs and shocks hanging around without, which brings us to $1K even. A little rich ..

Think I'll be getting the TRD Pro suspension. Engineered for the 4Runner, with different coils left and right.

You can get the top plates, bushings, retainers, and nuts for 166.00 and change from camelback toy.

Have you driven on these? They are a big improvement over the 5100. The piston is 60mm on the inside, or 2.36, the outer diameter is over 2.6. I have some here if youd like me to measure. These are sold in a kit, and come with springs. They are rebuildable.

These are a great option for the guy who wants more than a 5100 but doesnt need all the frills of a full performance coilover.

I concede, I was incorrect. I had to some serious searching to find out that they are in fact rebuildable.

I've ridden in a TuRD PRO and wasn't impressed with the suspension, which is derived from this series shock.

And I still stand by my opinion that they're a waste. For not much more you get a whole lot more shock. I also don't like that they top out at 2.5" of lift.

Well, If I can get the 6112's for $650 or so, $166 for the remaining parts, maybe this is a better solution for me .... Buuuuut, how to adjust for "the lean?"

Perhaps a fabricated washer under the lower spring seat?

the question becomes "just how much better than a 5100"? I can get a set of for 4 5100s to the door for $360. Add a set of superlift springs or even just a daystar rear spacer and I am full lift for less than the cost of these

The shock is nearly twice the size, the ride is much improved over the 5100 and its able to deal with larger bumps much better.

You've been very forthcoming with information, Chas, and it's much appreciated..
One last question .. What about boots to protect the exposed piston rod from damage?

really? I'm seeing that people with 3" CO like the toytec and Icon kit are getting much improved ride quality.

Can anybody else chime in with those lifts?

Maybe he's referring to a 3" lift without upgraded UCA's, since I've heard that can be a pain to get alignment dialed in.

We offer ProComp boots that will go on the rear shocks. The fronts are protected by the spring really, but we can find something like this to cover the whole front end.

Working on coil spring rates!

We have limited sets in stock! Bilstein has told us they are now backordered for the next 3 months or so :jaw:

Call 702.979.1577 and mention T4R to get yours, or shoot us a PM for order info!!

Today I had my local Toyota parts guru order me all the upper strut suspension parts needed to put on the new 6112's assembly when they come in and are installed so the ones that are on the T4R can be removed intact .........
2) Spring upper retainers, 2) Spring lower retainers, 2) Strut mount cushions, 2) Strut mounts (referred to as Top Plates) & 6) Strut mount nuts.

He matched Camelback pricing!

you have list of part #? and where we can get them?

Also what are you planning on running on the rear? 5100 or 5160?

If you're gonna run the 6112 at 2.5" what rear springs would you run to level it out?
