Huh you say? Here are a few examples that help explain what I am talking about. I have a bedside clock that I paid around $50 to $60; since the day of purchase it never kept time; it took about a week to two weeks for it to fall back a few minutes. If I do not change the time back it will continue to do that, and it is a digital clock. I have a watch that mother game for my Confirmation (I am now 30), and that sometimes I need to change the day and date because of the way it works.
With all these devices, I also have a cell phone that sets the time and day automatically for me that I always have. For my bedside clock, for $20 at Walmart I got a clock that sets the time, date, and year within 5 seconds of plugging it in.
It's obvious that GPS's, and the use of power outlets we can have devices to do it automatically for us, but when will that be the standard? Seriously, I do not see a single reason why our clocks do not set the time for us automatically. I still battle with the idea of doing away with a watch all together for even though it's always on the right time, why bother with it when I have the cell phone that I never need to bother with?
