I generally try to avoid making demeaning comments about a child if the parents can hear. Like when someone shows you a pic of their newborn and you're like "NEVER DO THAT AGAIN!!!!"

if they make this it won't look anything like this, this is a concept so the styling is supposed to be crazy

and they should make this, a small crossover with a rugged interior (think honda element) with real 4WD would be really popular

I think you all are getting hung up on what this thing looks like. I'm more interested in the fact that Toyota actually mentioned "approach and departure angles" in an initial marketing piece, as if they cared about the offroad crowd.

The real question is what this portends about the future of the 4Runner.

for a small runabout, I kind of like it. If I had my 4Runner for off road and this for in town. I would do that.

Way to progressive for any Toyota production line. :biggrin1: There are a lot of interesting features. Looks wise, a little weird, it is a concept though, by nature it must look weird. Of course, I thought that about the new FJ too when it first came out. The FJ has grown on me since.

I love the split rear door lift gate concept.

Hot/cold fridges in the rear doors would be great but will never happen.

Door handle mugs? blah they would never get washed. nasty mold bombs, lol

Lots of removable things, everyone knows removable things get lost, how many people have misplaced one of the cup holder liners?

Like the FJ concept, actual production rendering, this won't look anything like the concept.

Definitely a need for a small, easily modifiable SUV that is not capable of towing 5,000 lbs. This has Unibody stamped all over it.

Toyota needs a Jeep Wrangler killer. Not sure if this is it.

My FJ was a truck, same with the 4.

Could see this parked outside a Abercrombie & Finch or Benetton store.
Maybe Derek Zoolander can be a spokesperson?
