Some of the ones for my classes have been as high as $90.

i bought it, got the code, used it, re shrink wrapped and returned

You have a lot of really good points there. I am a computer science major but haven't gotten too in depth with SSL and other items of that nature. I am about to move to a student living that has a wide range of routers through out the buildings and I am thinking that will be easier to download at free will.

I am sometimes ok and support the prices of music. It can be as low as 33 cents per song. And if you buy a cd, most prices are resonable enough for them to make money.

But WTF is $40 for a movie disc?? Something they already earned while its shown in theaters. Ex. Avatar was shown more than a year ago...until now the prices of BR disc range from $29 - $35. Its tempting people to result in dowmloading illegal copies. If they just priced new releases for $15 and $7 - $5 for old titles, who will bother downloading those large files when it consumes bandwith and time plus the risk of being caught....everybody is happy! :naughty:

Pirate Bay for full albums. Frost Wire for quick downloading of individual songs. If your concerned about FBI showing up at your door, find what ever song you want on youtube then copy and paste the link into Listen to Youtube and that will rip the song either to a high or normal quality for you to download.

am i re****ed? i put the youtube link in and it took me to the download page but it always pops up some stupid walmart ad. and never lets me download the song

yeah thats what i did. and the active x control popped up so i said run. then it tried to have me install something. but everytime i hit download under the preview box it just opens up some walmart gift card window. the preview window plays the correct mp3 but it does not ever let me download. weird.

That is strange. I guess just keep messing with it. It's pretty handy if it works correctly.

Download mp3 music, buy mp3 music | LegalSounds.com its only 9 cents a song. you preload your account with $25 or more and then you can start downloading. i was a little sketchy at first but decided to try it and i've had no issues at all. been using it for 2 years now

I used to love Pandora, but then they blocked it in Australia. I then found Slacker Radio, but that too got blocked. Now I am on to Internet Radio.

You could always listen to a song and record it using Audacity?

I pretty much use Amazon and Napster. It's only .99 per song and it's safe and legal, so it's a no-brainer.

What I really like is being able to download instantly and wirelessly to my Sirius/XM portable radio/mp3 player. It's great and gets about 175 music stations on it from all over the world, not to mention CNN, Fox, ESPN, etc etc. I've downloaded some killer tracks from bands and djs I've never heard of and would have never know to search for on the web. My subscription is like $15 per month and I have no need for an I-Pod. It was a little pricey to purchase (about $300), but well worth it.

I NEVER listen to terrestrial radio anymore....never!! Sirius/XM is a million times better, and NO commercials on the music stations!!

All I have to do is hit a record button when a cool tune plays and it saves it instantly!! I can download thru my home stereo, in my Runner or hiking in the middle of Death Valley!! The audio quality on any song saved from any station is extremely high quality.... no exceptions.

Once I discover a cool band or dj on Sirius, I'll get on Amazon and download more from that artist.

In case you're wondering, no I don't work for Sirius/XM, I just love it!

i have a mac, and i use video2mp3.net

I find a song on youtube. copy the url on to the proper spot on video2mp3.net and push convert. it takes the audio track from the video, downloads it, and adds it to itunes. Works AWESOME

Just get this or 50 of the other programs to download music videos from youtube and then covert it to mp3 file format (or 10 other formats).
