where do you guys change your brake pads?

Hey may not have been overcharged...depends on what rotors and pads he went with...etc. I put in Napa Ultra Premium and the rotors weren't cheap...even with the AAA discount.

$350 to not have to work in 100+ degree weather...priceless!

True, I don't know what kind of parts Midas carries, I've never been to one. But I spent ~ $100 total for my pads and rotors and it took me 15 min. per side. I'll spend a 1/2 hour in the hot sun to save $250 anyday. I have pretty cheap Kragen pads and rotors, but last time around they lasted for over 4 years so they're not bad quality.

They use and "push" CENTRIX brake parts. The pads are normaly the 105's. I personally dont use like them heat and dust issues but mainly because I use BENDIX, they are used by more new car dealers than any other brand and are FACTORY origanial on more new cars/trucks. They wear well alway fit well and last. I have had my 2nd gen for 5 years now and only changed the pads twice. It's a daily driver about 45k a year. I also change them myself. Nothing better than knowing you did it right your self. I also dont like going to "THE BIG CHAIN STORES" out there simply because of all the "upselling " of parts and work I dont want or need.

i left off the oil change and tire rotation, which i know isn't but $30 or so.

still it's about how much is your time worth... i have small kids(twins), so my time is worth a lot, to me.
