Where to buy new/rebuilt rear diff

My third needs a new ring and pinion. IF I can find a rebuilt set up unit, I can install myself. I can't install the new ring and pinion..WHERE do I find a decently priced new or rebuilt set up unit. There are NO used units anywhere.
It's a 2005 V6 4WD. 211K miles

VIBRATION IN THE REAR. I took it in and the differential expert diagnosed the pinion gear.

He's very good.

Interesting. Is it vibrating at all speeds? Only while accelerating?

I'm sure your shop got the diagnosis right and I'm not second guessing them. I'm trying to learn because I've been chasing some ghosts with my truck for a while.

You start to hear it at about 10 MPH and it continues to increase in intensity. It is worse when slowing down. Almost sounds like a bad tire.

Got mine from East Coast Gear supply too. They put a solid spacer in which makes it virtually bullet proof and they provide a 5 year warranty as long as you don't go over 35" tires, which I doubt you will. They aren't cheap, but they are the best.

So, I start to remove the nuts from the differential and the studs are coming out also. They aren't very tight at all. Is there a trick to keeping the studs in place and just removing the nut only? Do you think I should purchase new studs and nuts from the dealer? I want this thing to go right the first time.

Mine did that. I just pulled them out and then when pitting it back together and torquing it down they came loose and torqued correctly. You can replace them, but not really an issue unless you break some.
