Where to get a speedo cable ?

Where can I find a Speedo Cable for my '85 SR5 Runner ? Can u get a new one ? Tried Rock Auto but no luck.

I could be wrong but I think you're stuck with the dealership. Do a search for speedo cable and you'll find some good info on it. There was a detailed thread not too long ago about some speedo cable replacement issues as far as toyota part numbers and length of the cables is concerned.

Whats wrong with your curent cable? I think I got lucky with mine. Went to remove it to see what was wrong and found that the head that attaches to the transfer case had came apart from the cable body. Lubed up the inside of the cable and put it back together. Works fine. :biggrin2:

Cable is EAT UP by Manifold ...never seen one this bad but is Toast .
