Where to live in the OC?

Traffic North sucks big time too...there is no escaping traffic unless you own your own business and can dictate where it is located or simply luck out with a company near you. Most folks need absolute flexibility and also rent to be able to do this with a company.

Gave up, and going 950 miles north to Oregon; wall to wall green, rivers, streams and waterfalls everywhere and water just falls out of the sky...

Oregon is great...parents lived in Bend for a decade then came back to CA (central coast) - though my dad didn't really want to leave...

I live in Brea/Yorba Linda area. The positives are good neighborhoods, schools, safe per se, freeway close. The negatives, cookie cutter communities, a lack of vibrant culture,

So you'd be close to Corona for off roading and Trabuco Canyon, price of houses can be on the higher side, but schools are great, I spend my time in South Orange County for surfing. Otherwise can't complain.
