Where to purchase U bolts for sliders

Curious where are some of you purchasing the U bolts that go around the chassis for your slider installation. I was going to ask my local shop that makes custom leaf/coil springs to see if they can make me a set. Also, I'll try the local custom trailer fabrication place.

Does anyone sell pre-made U bolts made for our 4th gens? I know that when you buy bolt on sliders, U bolts are part of the package.

I used to have Albuquerque Brake and Alignment make u-bolts for me if I needed them but when I just googled them it says they are permanently closed. I'm guessing a spring or suspension shop should be able to make some. Maybe try Jackson's on Second street.

FWIW, I just welded my sliders to the frame on my 4th gen.

Maybe call or email White Knuckle Off Road, their sliders have U-bolts.

U-Bolts for the sliders? That's the first I have heard of it... SW & CBI use U-Channel shaped gusseted plates that fit snugly around the frame and then tie together at the top with heavy duty bolts.

I would imagine U-Bolts provide more of a "pinching" effect than proper weight distribution? How are they attached to the vehicle the plate sits against one side and then the u-bolt pulls it against the frame?

Yup, U-bolts for sliders; square U bolts to be exact. Been done on rigs with a chassis for a long time now, building my fourth set for a fourth rig. No issues thus far, been holding up well in the landcruiser world and they are MUCH heavier than our 4Runners.

or whatever it's worth. I reached out to John at white-knuckle regarding concerns with the u-bolts.

His response:

"They are held on with Ubolts. I have been using the Ubolt mounting method when possible for a number of years now on a few different vehicle models with no troubles. They offer great strength and easy mounting with no need for drilling or modifications. Since they are tough enough to hold an axle housing to leaf springs under tremendous pressures then surely they can (and do) hold the weight of the vehicle. They are very tough and handle all the abuse thrown at them."
