Which 8" aftermarket sub would be best for my 03 4Runner??

I am looking to swap out the JBL 8" sub in the back for an aftermarket 8" sub. I found several of them and I was wondering if you guys could give me some ideas on which would be best. I am planning on adding a seperate amp for the sub so I will not be using the sub output from the JBL amp unless someone has used the jbl amp with an aftermarket sub and it sounds good. Also I would like it to fit it in the original spot where the 8" JBL sub was. I am not to sure what the depth of the 8" JBL sub is?

1) Elemental Design - depth 4.25, dual 2ohm, 150 watts RMS
2) Rockford Fosgate stage 2 - depth 3-15/16", single 4ohm, 200 watts RMS
3) Kicker - depth 4-1/4", dual 4ohm, 200 watts RMS
4) Infinity - depth 4-5/16", 4 ohm, 200 watts RMS
5) Pionner, definetly will fit it is very thin, dual 4ohm, 120 watts RMS
6) JL Audio - depth 4.31", dual 4ohm or 2ohm, 125 watts RMS
7) Audiobahn - depth 4-3/8", dual 4ohm, 300 watts RMS
8) Polk Audio - depth 4", single or dual 4ohm, 180 watts RMS
9) Polk Momo - depth 4-3/16", dual 4ohm, 200 watts RMS)
10) JBL - depth 4-3/8", 4ohm, 200 watts RMS

I did the same thing you're wanting to do and I used the Polk Momo. I wanted to use the JL audio, but it wouldn't fit. I mainly used the Polk because it seemed to fit pretty well, and it was in stock. Sounds pretty good though. Plenty of bass for me as I'm not a bass head.

I actually ordered the polk momo from crutchfield yesterday as well as the rockford fosgate stage 2 8" sub. I ordered both just in case the polk didn't fit, but since you said it does I will probably go with it since that's the one I wanted. What amp are you using to power it? Did you have to make a spacer ring or did it just fit right in? Thanks

I went with the Alpine. I think it was like 200w x 2...But it's been a while, so I don't really remember the exact model number. No, I didn't have to make a ring, but the plastic side molding does stick out just a minute bit. You hardly even know it though.
