which clutch release bearing should I use???

Hey guys, so in my clutch kit, it came with two clutch release bearings, which caught me off guard. one of them is smaller, and looks a little closer to stock, but the second (as you can see) is beefier and looks stronger. the smaller one spins a lot easier, but the bigger one spins not so easy. (the bigger one spins like it was packed with grease where as the smaller spins like it was packed with oil). Which one should i use? will one of them be better/worse?

The one that matches the one your trying to replace. They probably come with 2 for 1 of 2 reasons.

1. Quality control was F-in high when they put the kit together.
2. They package them for 2 different transmissions.

thats fair enough, but i mean, both arnt exactly like the one im replacing... the one that i feel is closer to it is the smaller one. im being super picky about this because id rather not do it again... xD heres some more pics, the original is in the middle


in pic #2, smaller bearing is on the right, larger on the left.

in your opinion, which one would you choose?

btw, its a 1988, 22re

If I were you, I would call the guys who made the kit, and ask them what they were thinking when they put two bearings in there. Hopefully they have a good reason for it, and know exactly which one they intend for you to use on your application. I'm rather surprised that any company would do that--what a loss on their bottom line if they're doing this with each kit?!

yea i guess ill have to haha yea, im honestly confused as well, I ordered it from the local auto shop, and its supposed to be an oem replacement.. (brand is LUK) but yea, ill just go in tomorrow and ask whats up, thanks for the advice
