Which HID kit for an '07?

Pretty hard to search for since "HID kit" search terms are too short.

Which manufacturer? Looking for a straightforward install for the lows and fogs and I'm more focused on function since I frequently drive on low visibility mountain roads.

V-Leds isn't offering the HID kits anymore and I heard others suggest DDM for a low cost alternative? Any other options I should check out?

Lightwerkz or The Retrofit Source are good companies I've done business with, moreso with projector retrofit parts but their kits are also high quality

Does anyone have experience with the TRS Morimoto non-retro kits? They claim their ballasts have the same warm up time as OEM and their kits are over $100 cheaper than the ones from Xenon Depot.

I used ddm for fogs and low. never had an issue. I also had kbcarstuff lows and fogs. no issue there either.

I have the Lightwerkz H11 in my lows and really like the kit I added the wire harness and it was a perfect fit, good quality too.

Have DDM in my fogs 9006 not really impressed with the DDM wold not buy again.

With HID's you get what you pay for and your driving lights are not a area to go cheap!

Nice set up! I got the same relays as you, only I installed mine are on the other side. Lightwerkz is a great company.

DougH: As far as functionality, I SELDOM have my factory fogs on. All they do is "fill" in under the HID beam. The HID beam is pretty epic, I can't see why anyone would want to put in HIDs in their fogs. Many have done so and are happy. I'm still not convinced, I think it's a little overkill. I have both morimotos (lightwerkz brand) and Densos. My Densos blow them out of the water. So yeah, don't go cheap on the HID components. :thumb3:

Sorry to get off topic a little, but can someone tell me which kit I need for the fog lights on my '03? The last thing I wanna do is spend money on the wrong kit that won't fit! Thanks for any help.

NJshadow93: The 03 4 runner uses a 9006 bulb for the fog lights meaning that you would need to purchase a 9003 HID kit. You can also use our "shop by vehicle" tool on the kbcarstuff.com website to see what other bulbs your vehicle uses.

honda_nos: Enjoy! Glad you're happy with your XenonDepot HID kit.

DougH: Warm up time has to do with the bulb as well. I can tell you that in the aftermarket world you will not find an aftermarket ballast that is better or equal to the ballast used in the Xtreme HID kit. If you are looking for the best then you want to look at the Xtreme HID kit w/ German made Philips 4300k HID bulbs.

I just received my hid kit last week. But I am still checking this forum on how and where to install the wiring stuff. I am checking on how 4RunnerRon and hawaiian did their installations. Unless there's other way to do it. Help is much appreciated. Thanks.
