Which HID poll

I have a 06 4runner sport in Galactic Gray. I'm getting an HID kit this month and need your opinions.

I am looking for good light output but i also want a little color so you can tell they are HID's and not blue superwhite bulbs or very white bulbs.

p.s. I heard the H11 bulb is also the same on my wife's 2007 Camry SE V6, anyone know if this is correct?

I say go with 6000k if you want some color. I wish I got 6000k instead of 4300k, since 4300k looks like halogens but much more brighter. 4300k is the brightest HID available though.

That's correct, the '07 Camry and '06+ 4Runner both use H11 bulbs.

i have 6000k and i like it alot! i think anything under 5000k look kind of yellow up close.

I just ordered the 5000k Xtreme HID conversion kit from www.xenondepot.com. Didn't want blue and didn't want any yellow, so I went with the 5000k which shouldn't have any yellow and only a little blue. Hopefully it works out!

Yes, the 07 Camry also uses an H11 bulb.

The 5000k kit that promed ordered will have a very slight bluish tinge giving you a "crisp" white output.

For the best compromise between colour and light output I really would not suggest going with anything above 6500k.

The 6500k kit will offer you a purplish output. Here are some pics of our Xtreme 6500k kit installed in a Lexus IS both in the low beams and fogs:

My 4300k reflector kit looks like the lights on my mom's lexus ls400. I like!

The new lexus have d4r d4s bulbs at 4800K... How come thats not a choice

HIDs

I have the 4.3K hid kit from Xenon Depot. Steve finally got around to sending me my replacement bulbs, as one had a cracked base and the kit has been great. Also have 3K hid kits in the fogs and it's a similar look to my old 02 IS. I prefer the 4.3, as the light output is approximately 20% greater than the 6K variety.

There's still a bit of yellow in the light. It's whiter, but not white enough. The initial fire up of the burners look nice with the blue flicker. I guess the only way to describe it is I'm looking for a bit more color.

Anybody have any pictures of the beam pattern?

I'm hoping the HID retrofits will have a similar beam pattern and cutoff as projectors that were designed for it.
