Check out the link below. He has it on. Basically a background light that you can run all the time. Comes in a different variety of it like blue, red, green or white.

Do you mind posting a photo of what it looks like once you get down to the bottom of the windshield into the hood area? Where do I go into the hood?

At the bottom of the windshield there's a rubberized plastic cover between the windshield and the hood. Just run the wires under that and then run the wires right through into the engine bay. You'll be good to go from there. You'll see what I mean when you look.

The radiance is actually pretty bright. I really like the light output on it and the design. The ambient light is has is pretty cool also

I hope I didn't make is sound like it wasn't bright. The top of the line rigid bars are built with racing applications in mind (Baja, Dakar, etc), and in general is way more than the layman could ever need. These new bars are more affordable, while delivering more light, more reliably than some of the Chinese knock offs we've been touting on this board lately.

I removed the sleeve on the wiring and ran the wires down the drainage channel on the driver side windshield. Then I applied black marine sealant/adhesive to keep the wires in place and unnoticeable.

Hey I have a 2017 trail, and just put on my Gobi rack and have a 40 inch rigid lightbar. Been searching how to do the connection. I see you running the wires next to the windshield seems to be the best option. I wanted to know do you need to relay to hook it up and where did you get your switch? Thanks for any hel:cheers:

I’m using Chinese knockoff lights on my roof, grill and as pods and they seem to work fine for my application. The lights themselves are ok, it’s the wiring harness, switches, and mounting fasteners that suck donkey balls

I have a 2017 trail, just put on my gobirack and have a 40 inch rigid lightbar that I plan on doing the same thing with my question to you is did you need to use a relay and where did you get your switch. New to the forum anything you can suggest would be helpful, thanks a lot:cheers:

You'll definitely need a relay harness if you don't have one. For the switches you can use these, they're a lot cleaner

Hey thanks a lot. Actually I have the 40 inch E-series pro Ridge light bar flood Spot combo. I just reached out to Ridge because in my box I did not get the Wire harnes and the relay, they are sending it out now. Hope to hook it up next week. And I will purchase the light switch. thanks again

Extreme Led Light Bar X2 X6 10W 32" in the grill and X6 10W 38" on the roof (favorite bars so far), I have Lifetime Led Light Bars on my 1 ton. couldn't go wrong with either company. Have run amazon bars they are cheap and show it in light output.
