Which leveling kit?

Ive been doing some research on which front leveling kit to buy and what size. I've looked at hundreds of pictures of people builds to try and get a idea how big of a spacer to get but I'm still unsure. I just want to get rid of the rake but not have the front end riding high. Any suggestions on size and brands?

Pretty much any 1" spacer should do, remember 1" spacer will give 2" lift.

Uhm...What year and Engine are you running.
I think, based on feedback under suspension sticky, and my own personal experience that for leveling purposes the Revtec or Daystar spacers are the simple solution. No need to replace springs and struts for leveling. It's my understanding that the rake is usually 1-2" depending on vehicle and engine. Many will use a 2" on front and 1" on rear leveling kit.

I did a 2 1/2 and 1 1/2 Daystar years ago and it worked out great!

I used the Daystar, love the way it looks. The only thing, after I installed it, the right rear was sagging a bit. This is a common problem from what I have read on here. Cornfed suspension will custom make you a spacer for the rear to level it from side to side depending on how much you need. The rear spacer was very easy to put on.

You could try this:

Daystar? - Driven by Design

It's a Daystar 1" front spacer. This should net you 1-2" of rise for your front sus only. Some claim 1"'spacer on front nets 2" of lift, but I'm not 100% sure this is accurate, 'cause it will depend on the condition/life left of your coils. Cornfed and Revtec make similar.

I will give it a shot. It's cheap enough. My 4Runner has 180xxx miles on it and original xreas suspension.

I've got Airlift 1000 airbags in mine which solved the dilemma you describe. Now my T4R sits level when towing. Pretty affordable, and not an overly difficult mod if you do yourself.

I know what you mean of the 1:2 ratio for the front, but I'm looking into getting a 2" leveling kit and some products I'm seeing are named "2.5" Lift Poly Front Coil Spacer Kit". So does that mean it is a 2.5" lift or 2.5" spacer with a net 5" lift?? That seems incredibly excessive to me so I would assume it means the product is a 2.5" net lift (1.25" spacer) right? I'd rather ask than assume things!

I think on the daystar 2.5 front lift the spacer is roughly half that thickness if I recall.
However on mine I added the KYB front complete struts and ended up a little higher on the the front by a hair due to that combo. I think stock struts would be ok. I can tolerate it, but might end up going with a different setup in 30k miles to make the rear higher.

It depends, on the front that is for the most part ture true. I don't know the exact dimensions of the control arm, but spacer height x 2 will get you a ballpark number in the front. The rear is pretty much directly proportional: spacer height = lift height. So for example, the daystar 2.5" front and 1.5" rear kit would have a front spacer thats about 1.75" thick, and the rear would have a 1.5" thick spacer. I haven't used this kit for actual measurements, but this is just a ball park idea of how it all works.

In this simplified model of the front, I put the spacer at the bottom so everything is all together and can see how the spacer height relates to net lift. In reality, the spacers go on the top of the fromt shock/spring assembly and on top of the springs in the rear.
