Which mod first?

I've got a black 03 Limited 4runner, v8 4x4. It's a daily driver, no off road at all. Which mod should be first (no particular order)?
1. Tint the front windows 20% to match the rears
2. Skid plate and/or bull bar for the front
3. Level the front with FJ Cruiser coils and Toytec 1/2 inch thick topout spacer
I will be getting new tires sometime this summer, I'm going with Revo 2's in a size larger than stock (not sure which yet, but it'll be taller than stock). Thanks!

Lift or Tint, I voted lift.

I would say never get a bullbar, but that is just me. They cause more damage to you own vehicle in an accident and decrease your approach angle if you off road.

I'm probably in agreement, tint first, then lift, then bull bar and/or skid plate. I'm trying to get an idea of what you all think. I'm not set on a bull bar, for the exact reason stated by Blair. That's why the option is skid plate and/or bull bar. I may just do the OEM skid plate, or if I can figure it out I may make my own. As for the username, I use it on an ATV forum because we ride in the Arkansas swamps, it's just easier to use one name across boards. It has no impact on my 4runner (made the account way before purchasing the 4runner). Thanks guys!

i think you have them in the right order allready, the mods should be done in a way that benefits how/where you drive mostly, so tint first since your only on road, (for now anyway), then anything else in that line of thought, skid or whatever next,( do yourself a favor & make it at least somewhat functional, not just all for looks, ya never know) then the lift before the new tires. this is the order i would use, but do whats easier for you. have fun! you realize that once the mods begin, they're hard to stop.

Haha, yep! I had a 96 Mustang Cobra before the 4runner, I've been down this road before. I'm gonna do a few mods, but nothing major. Based on the response so far, looks like I'll be getting tint done, not this week but the next (hopefully). Also, I'm gonna try to get the stuff to make my own skid plate for now, so this will take care of that. The lift is going to wait, although I'm working on a deal for a full FJ Cruiser suspension at the moment (I'll hold this until next summer). Thanks everyone, and any more input is appreciated!

Tint. It's the first thing I do with all of my cars. I had the front windows on my 4R tinted to match the rears the first week I bought it. In addition to the cosmetic improvement of matching the rear windows, it drastically reduces glare without compromising night time visibility.

isnt the tint 15% for the rear? and to match it would be 15%? the guy told me it was 15 and i got it done. it matches pretty good but you can tell its aftermarket, also its abit greenish while looking though and not as black as factory. :roadkill:

I think it is somewhere between 15 and 20. Both seem to match pretty well. However, both are technically illegal here therefore I'm going with the 20 in hopes of less issues (also the shops around here are very strict, it was hard to get one that'd do the 20). It looks as if the skid plate/bull bar is out, unless I do a custom one for pretty cheap. Based on the response I won't be doing anything major real soon. Right now my plans are to take it to the tint shop as soon as he can work me in (will be next week at the earliest), and to begin getting stuff for my lift. Although it doesn't take much, I will be buying it in peices and do the install next summer (when I'll be getting new tires). Thanks, and any more comments are appreciated!
