Which one sounds like a good deal

Ok guys, I'm looking at 2 vehicles right now. They both got my attention because they have exactly what I want just in 2 different vehicles and I'm not sure where to start


Option 1

2001 Toyota 4Runner

This has the leather option, center locks and relatively low miles, plus I just got the price dropped.


Option 2

1999 Toyota 4runner 4wd 3.4L

This ones pretty much done and then some, doesn't have lockers but looks to be pretty much set, I'd like the leather option but I guess I could just buy some katzkinz for that. It's also a California car.

Btw: this is going to be my first 4Runner, I've been wanting one for a while and now I just want to pull the trigger and buy one. Yeah the Seattle one is cheaper and I could build it but the San Diego is a really good option as well. It's basically done, anyone got any advice on what I should look for or what they recommend

both of them look like good choices.
to help you out the 2001 has a center diff lock which is essentially just 4 wheel drive high range. it appears that the white one does not have a rear locking differential but still has 4wd hi and low range, same as the 2001

You are correct, I don't know if those would be deal breakers but if I got the 99 I would later on add the elockers just to get that full traction you know
 
For me.. it depends on your budget. The 1999 is a nice setup and pretty much ready like you are saying. If you have the cash, I'd choose that one.
However, if you have a lower budget and that one is out of range.. I'd go for the 2001 and slowly build it to your liking using available funds as you get them. Nothing wrong with that option.

But if both are in the budget... go for the 99 S/Cd. :D

Yeah the Seattle one would be nice to build on my own and take my time but the fact that the sc one is already done gets me excited to get it... Plus that's the top of my budget so I'm basically going to come out even

Why travel to Seatlle for a stock vehicle with mediocre stats? There are a ton of good ones in the bay right now (mine included...haha). The second one is nice and a member here so might be worth looking at if you like the truck.

Oh and trust me I've been looking, either the trucks here have too many miles or people are asking 9-10k for something stock and still high mileage. The Seattle guy dropped his price to $5500 so that's why it got my attention
 
I like the built one. I got a one way ticket from San Diego to Oregon when I finally found the one I wanted so don't let the distances scare you!

I'm not too worried about the distance, I was looking at even going to Pennsylvania to pick one up if it was right but the truck had too much rust
