Which side does AC drain to?

I swapped my KDSS ARB front skid to the non KDSS skid this evening and found that there is a lot of wet areas on the drivers side. I have recently went boggin so everything is covered in mud down there so I am not sure what this liquid is. I checked the oil in my front diff as that is the general area of the majority of the wet parts and it is still full. Only thing I can think is that it is the AC draining off water, but I thought that was on the passenger side. Checked the passenger side for wet parts and there are none. Maybe its the 12 pack of Shock Top, but I cannot seem to find anything confirming this.

Does the Bud Built Skids take into account the sway bar relocate and the radiator support drop? So with those installed do you still have a flat belly or is there a gap like the stock skids?

It drips on the driver's side. I know this because I would have a moment of panic every morning while I was out on the road with Joneseyyy and 4Shorerunner and I saw gobs of fluid leaking from the driver side bottoms of their trucks as we charged through the morning air on the highway.

That's weird...the a/c on my TE drips on the passenger side.

Could it be associated with the "lean" of the truck(s)? Those that have a slight lean on the drivers side vs. non lean or leaning a bit on the passenger side?

the drain will be on whatever side the heaterbox is on. which is usually the passenger side. ive seen a few on different vehicles kind of close to the center, but still more towards the P side.

Right side for me. Though I'd suggest washing all the mud etc out of your under body/engine compartment. A clean truck is a happy truck ya know :boink:

The drain is a rubber hose on the passenger side right above the cat on the firewall.

This is it in my hand!

You can barely see the end of the hose in this pic in the darkest area...

The drips travel along the undercarriage and drip in various places. Here is where mine is dripping on my slightly sloped driveway. It's a good 18" from the hose.

Could have been the skid plates directing it down to the driver side... or I could have been seeing it backwards in the mirror?

That is quite disheartening if that is the case because it was fairly wet in that area. Then again, it would almost have to be the AC as the other side was bone dry (dried caked on mud makes that easy to see).

Def was not gear oil as when I pulled the fill plug a thin line began coming out saying its still completely full. Also did not feel like oil. Felt like gritty water but gritty from the dirt in it.

So my truck sat in the garage for a week and the fluid was on the floor, so it is not water from the AC. Has to be gear oil. I noticed it when changing my skids a few days after mudding so I thought that maybe the breather was clogged up with mud so the pressure was venting around the axle, but it seems that the breather for the front diff is under the hood so there is no way that is happening. The fluid is still full so it is a very light leak, but bothering me none the less.

Doubtful because it is only on the front diff.

I cannot find a breather on it, felt all around it and nothing.

Here are some photos of the area. If it were a bolt it would have to be from the fill bolt as there is leaking on areas higher than the drain. It is also back on parts farther back so the axle would make the most sense as it would fling the oil further while spinning.

Hope my 100k bumper to bumper will cover this :/

Maybe it's your truck's tears because you neglected it for a week...

Like Antman said, gear oil has a pretty distinct smell to it. If it doesn't smell then it probably isn't gear oil.

It is fresh gear oil in that diff with only about 3k miles on it so not stinking yet. It has been sitting for about an hour in front of my house on clean pavement and two drips have came down. Feels like oil. All the wetness is concentrated to the area shown, all on the drivers side of the diff.
