Which sliders stick out furthest?

I have the X-wings. I hated them the first time I saw them in pictures, but when I saw them in person, I really liked them. I've had them on the truck for over a year now and I really like them. I get people at the gas station give me compliments about how they like the "steps" They've saved my ass a few times on trails too. Also on convoys, friends always radio me saying I'm about to start flying

Hoping the Hefty Fab ones I have semi-purchased stick out further or about the same as the stock steps.

Thanks for the pic. I was looking into Demello too. Its not clear to me if the inner round bar is right under the quarter panel. It looks like is slightly on the outside and may not protect the car's underside. Is it an optical illusion?

I'll try to take a pic of mine later today.

I had to send the original RR slider back and upgraded to the 'kick-out' ones. Will get them on in a couple weeks

I got Slee for that very reason. Pricey but they were in stock at that time, and they seem very solid and stick out a good amount. I got them mostly to use as a step for the kids and as... minor city accident prevention.

A 3-series cut my wife off - she was in its bling spot. The bimmer needed a new headlight and a fender. I have a scratch on the wheel and on the slider. That is exactly why...

I have a pair of Hefty FabWorks sliders on order (8 week delivery time). They can be used as a step and have a kickout in front of the rear wheel.

You have these on your 5th gen 4runner? KDSS or non-KDSS? Their website says these are for the FJ.

Installed RSG metalworks flat sliders as replacement to oem running boards. They extend 2” wider than the running boards and that is not at the bump out which is significantly wider. They sit at their lowest poition about 1.5” higher than running boards with enough “shoe” room to use as a step. The bump out provides not only protection but a great way to access my ski rack on the roof.

Installation is straight forward and all bolts lines up on 2018 TRDOR with KDSS. Only change I would make is to swap out for larger washers, but the ones it comes with are more than enough.

Customer service was awesome and they shipped next day.
