While timing, engine light code

Well I just put back together the parts on my car today. I replaced the timing chain.

I shorted the connector and put it at 5 degrees BTDC (It was way off, about 2 inches off the pulley) What do most people have the degrees at? I think it used to be 24 for mine when I bought it. What should it be set at?

Anyways, after I was done timing it to 5 degrees, i noticed my check engine light was blinking.

It was number 28. Does anyone know what 28 is?

Any other input? THanks...

Seems to be the 02 sensor code.

There is only 1 oxy sensor right? The one on the exhaust?

I assume I should replace it?

Yes, there is only one oxygen sensor. Check that no cables are frayed or anything else that would cause the sensor to not work. Then, if not, seems although it's your oxygen sensor.....

Anyone know how to TEST an oxygen sensor? (I don't.... )
