Whining noise

Hello i have a 99 limited 3.4 that has a whining noise after it warms up and is constant under acceleration or throttle. All fluid levels are where they should be. It almost sounds like a PS pump that is running low on fluid but dosnt happen when i turn the wheel. Any help is appreciated.

You say it's constant, meaning it does not vary with engine rpms?

It does vary with RPMs i forgot to put that in the OP. At a dead stop and moving also

Did you ever figure out what this was? Sounds like the same issue I'm having. Sounds just like a power steering pump but that's not the problem. Thanks

update: Still have the issue, it changes with rpm in any gear including park and neutral. Sounds like a p/s pump but it is full of fluid and i just did a transmission filter and drain/refill not flush. It starts after something warms up so im guessing its a seal somewhere that is expanding and leaking. I just sprayed the engine and trans clean with degreaser so if anything is leaking i should see it in the next couple of days.

Sounds like a transmission pump.

Update: It was the alternator bearing going. It sounded just like a P/S pump failing and no grinding noise till right before it almost failed.
