Whining or down shifting sound when foot is off accelerator.

2007 sport V6 with 230k on her. The noise started around 50k or so ago. Driving is normal but when I let go of the accelerator, there is a whine that kind of sounds like down shifting. I thought it was my bearings and had them inspected. Both rears were bad so they were replaced. New sway links, and both axles were replaced. Fluids in diffs were changed and even all zerks were greased. I even went as far as replacing my mud tires with Michelins but the noise is still there. I have a video of me accelerating and letting go of the pedal. Here’s a link to the video of the sound. Any help would be great!

It may be your alternator, when the bearings break it can whine. Does it also make the sound when idling? If so see if you can source the sound to a location.

Alternator was replaced around 190k with a rebuilt. It isles fine with no noise. The sound is only when driving and pedal is released. No sound turning wheels while driving and it does the same in lower gears. Not sure if this is a drive shaft issue?

Yeah my second thought was maybe driveshaft bearing.

Man I hope someone had similar issues and resolved it. Not worried cause I don’t have issues but I’d like to fix it if I could.

Only guess would be drive shaft bearing. Found it online for 30$. If that doesn’t work I’m going to check the diff afterwards .
