White Rim in a TRD Trip Report: 5/31 to 6/3/17 (pic heavy!)

Crap, I just realized I totally forgot to post the one beauty shot of the 4Runner I took. This is 37 50-MP images comprising 6 minutes and 25 seconds of cloud movement over my baby...

Brings back lots of good memories of the White Rim Trail when I used to hop on the motorcycle and ride the entire 105 mile route in a little over 6 hours, and no permit was required back in those days

Living in Slc, this is on my to do list, but just hasn't happened yet.

Need to do it, but still pretty green getting that much off the beaten path.

You should move it up your list, living so close. It really isn't that daunting of a trip, especially in a 4Runner. Really just need extra fuel and more water than you're used to carrying for car camping. And be prepared for unexpected conditions; it'd be a bit interesting getting out of there during/after a huge rain. But, people do it all the time...

I had two sons racing last year, one took Top 5 Varsity for the State Championships, the other was around Top 10 Freshman. The riding around Eagle is fantastic, it's an undiscovered gem. Did you ride Boneyard? Get over by Star Wars and World's Greatest Downhill?

Didn't have a ton of time to ride, but got to ride Dirt Surfer, Boneyard Pool & Ice and Haymaker. I couldn't not ride the H.S. course.

It's really a great course. For a couple of years the kids raced it twice, once during the season, and once for the State Championships. Great course for spectating.

Are those last two pictures of Long Canyon/Pucker Pass? I went through there (going up) in 2012 and don't remember anything like that. It was just an easy 4wd road.

Avatar was from a trip this March, and the image in question was near the top (below the two upper switchbacks), certainly the 'crux' of this otherwise tame road.

Nice trip and great photos! Another one to put on my list. I ended up going the same route you did with purchasing a trail premium kdss and adding the pro suspension. Absolutely love it. Where did you get the trd badge on the C column, trdshop? Thanks for sharing all the pics.
