I'm glad you were able to see my post about that area, prior to going down it. Pictures and video don't do it justice for how gnarly it is.
Great thread.
Living in Slc, this is on my to do list, but just hasn't happened yet.
Need to do it, but still pretty green getting that much off the beaten path.
Looks like an awesome trip. Does your son still race in the Colorado H.S. Cycling League?
I was in Eagle last year for the NICA National Summit. Awesome riding you have out there! :bigok:

Do it! If you want some backup let me know, I'm always down for a White Rim trip.
So, about your user ID, you didn't got to Syracuse, did you?
I was born in Syracuse.
I had two sons racing last year, one took Top 5 Varsity for the State Championships, the other was around Top 10 Freshman. The riding around Eagle is fantastic, it's an undiscovered gem. Did you ride Boneyard? Get over by Star Wars and World's Greatest Downhill?
Didn't have a ton of time to ride, but got to ride Dirt Surfer, Boneyard Pool & Ice and Haymaker. I couldn't not ride the H.S. course.
Are those last two pictures of Long Canyon/Pucker Pass? I went through there (going up) in 2012 and don't remember anything like that. It was just an easy 4wd road.
Lots of incredible photos & excellent trip report, thanks for sharing!! Makes me want to get out to Moab and some canyon country again, been a few years; matter of fact, my brother is out there right now sending me teaser pics, too. Kudos to your son, too, that is intense.
Right, same here. Have done it a couple times in my Xterra, too. That must be towards the top? Judging by your avatar, b407, you must have made it partway thru.
Nice trip and great photos! Another one to put on my list. I ended up going the same route you did with purchasing a trail premium kdss and adding the pro suspension. Absolutely love it. Where did you get the trd badge on the C column, trdshop? Thanks for sharing all the pics.
