I appreciate the support, but this thread is counterproductive and I'd appreciate it if you would remove it. Bottom line - after meeting with my own intellectual property experts, I have made the decision to change my design. I met with the owners of GOBI, and they were cool enough to work with me to find a solution that worked for both of us. They're a good company.

In all respect to Josh, I can understand if the thread is closed, but I don't see any reason in which it should be deleted. Despite its intentions, it is a great reflection of a community supporting a a fellow upstanding member.

And yea, that totally sounds like a lawyer wrote that out...maybe even Paul himself.

Can't wait to see the new design Josh, I understand your needing to publicly state that Gobi is a good company. Hopefully you will still find enjoyment out of creating your racks, what Gobi doesn't understand is it's not always about money, I'm sure many of your customers choose to go with your rack simply because they felt like they were buying something from another member and felt good knowing their money was well spent. You could have built the same rack and priced the same amount and you still would have walked away with the sell.

Either way, I hope things will get back to normal for you and this didn't take more out of you then it should of.

Imo this is what gobi should have done in the first place. A simple phone call could have resolved the whole issue without almost destroying another man's business.

I'm glad that it's been resolved and I look forward to the new design. I can't help but think that the public backlash pushed gobi into doing the right thing, and if that's the case, then I give props to the community. I still won't be doing any business with gobi, as they showed exceptionally poor form in their handling of this.
