A Deep Dive Into This Forum's Background

There isn't really much info about this forum, who runs it, or how it runs. And unfortunately I haven't put much effort into this yet, but I'll publish what I learned (on General Discussion for visibility)

This forum was born on November 11, 2002. What happened on that day? Well as far as I can tell, the account belonging to the forum's founder, Thai, was created. This also happens to be the earliest posts on the forum, all by Thai, mostly about the forum itself.

What makes me think he is the owner of this forum is this thread back in 2004 by Iman74 that says the site is Thai's. The (now inactive) moderator GatorGreg and Thai himself didn't dispute this statement.

I can't tell if this is new info, I knew Thai was an important member, anyone who clicks the least recent page can deduce that. But this info seems to have been forgotten about judging by recent threads.

Oddly Thai doesn't have a 4runner on his signature anymore. Now please don't pester Thai, he is the sites only active mod (not only actually), and the only person who has the ability to update the site.

Anyway, the forum would be a rather standard forum of the era, user submitted photos (4ROTM aka 4runner of the month) on the home page, gradual updates, growth. This happened until April of 2019, which is the site we have now.

Not sure if your added "not only actually" means you know of other Moderators or not....but I do know for a fact the most active Moderator is in fact "fourwd1", I see him being here most of the time if not a daily basis.

That being said he is just a Moderator and has no Administrative "permissions"/abilities to update the forum and it seems the real Administrator communicates with him and most likely any other Moderators very little or not at all the best I can tell from some of fourwd1 posts concerning the forum's pitfalls lately, the best I can tell fourwd1 and most likely all the Moderators can only move/remove posts and get rid of Spammers, Bots, etc., to my best knowledge.

IMHO fourwd1 for sure if not all of the Moderators deserves our appreciation for keeping the forum free from undesirables and moving misplaced posts to the proper/better sections!

Also I just checked another Moderator's profile "ChildrenOfBodom" and he was last active on Friday the 26th, so they are still on here.
