Just picked this up last weekend. It's my third 4runner. Started out with an 02 Sport that I wish I still had. Bought an 06 Sport V6 for my wife in 09 that she still drives. I had a 98 Frontier that I was going to mod, but sold it for even money for the 88. I love it! My plans are to restore and maybe a soft topper and OME mild lift.

That thing is freaking awesome!!!!! I really wanted a white with the decals but ended up with a grey. Looks really clean too.

looked just like mine when mine was stock. expect i had chrome bumpers. if yours didnt qualify for the v06 headgasket recall. just keep up with your coolant changes and you shouldnt have any problems. mine didnt qualify because the 1st half of 88. toyota used better headgaskets. im at 230xxx miles and engine has never been open. around 220xxx i installed a set of headers to get rid of the crossover to reduce heat around the heads

I found it from a Craigslist ad in NC. Been using seach tempest for a while trying to locate a clean one. My wife and young child keep me close to home, so a trip to GR might not be in my future. I do have two college buddies that live in GR though, so if you have parts to sell they would pick-up for me. Thanks for the offer though.
