Who else loves the location of the V6 oil filter?!

The only way it would be better if it was on a V8.

But mine isn't too bad once I remove the skid plate. It's low enough it can drain directly into a can.

The filter location along with a Fumoto drain valve makes the V6 a breeze!

Love it almost as much as my old 2007 Cadillac CTS V6 - that was even easier, if you can believe it.

The drain hole in the base of the drip area screwed me up the first time I changed the oil, as it was dirty and I didn't notice it till I had oil everywhere. But now I have a handy-dandy Gulp cup from 7/11 that works nicely.

I have changed the oil on a lot of different vehicles and the 4 runners makes it easy thanks to where they put the filter.

Changed the oil on my 06 mini cooper S last week and I always get oil everywhere because you can't take the filter housing off without spilling and there's no way to catch it.

Can be done w/out pulling a plate with the RCI skids (V8)

First post, new owner of an 08 Sport. Looking forward to the first oil change, makes it so easy. Changed the oil in a lot of different vehicles, and I can't remember an easier one. The worst were the Fieros, IMO.

Yep, angled towards the front drivers-side wheel from the bottom of the engine. Heavy skid plate covering it up too.
