Who has an ARB twin compressor mounted in their trunk?

I'm looking to put a subwoofer on the passenger side (cubby) and mount my ARB twin compressor on the driver side by the vent in the plastic quarter panel.

I SWEAR I've searched all over, and 99% sure I've seen 1 picture, but now I'm re-searching and cannot find it.

*Note.... DRIVER SIDE trunk area. Not the passenger side cubby hole.

I have an Arb dual air but I put it in the passenger side cubby.

One of the isues is that there is a one-way air flapper thing in that spot that will let dust in if it's not left in place, intact, and functional.

I have seen Visit compressors mounted on that side. I have seen a couple ARB singles mounted on the wheel well or maybe to a 1st gen roll bar, but I haven't seen a double on the driver's side. Mine is mounted in the rear passenger cubby hole.

Something to consider is operating temp when they are under load. I wanted mine to be able to breathe a bit when airing up. Did you want it totally concealed?

Ideally I would like it exposed, right under the window and by the hump of the wheel well. Just securely mounted.

In that case, it sounds more straightforward than trying to cram it inside the panels. Maybe start to try to fab a mount. Theorycraft with some cardboard till you have something workable. Then get some metal stock for a welder to fab the mount. I was tempted to go this route, but was not quite sure about how to go about mounting it to the body. The few others that I had seen do something similar at all seem to use one of the 1st gen roll bars.

I took off the driver side panels and tried to see if it would fit and I had no room to get it in. Nor anywhere to mount it securely. I'm not a welder nor do I know anyone that is so I through that option out the window and put it on the passenger side cubby. Fits perfectly and didn't have to drill into my frame. I was tempted to get the window cages and put it on those but they were a little pricey for me at the moment.

OP, look for jdmpnoy's build thread. iirc, he did install the arb compressor in the LH corner behind the plastic panels
