Who has done a diesel conversion?

I have to agree with this. Not only is it a great engine, but if you are doing a swap, using it makes it so much easier since it was *made* for this vehicle! motor mounts line up, existing wiring harness available...you can make it look absolutely stock.

This is awesome and I want to do the same conversion. Any suggestions or tips? I found a source for the engines with 4x4 transmissions attached. Does it just plug right in? If you would, I would enjoy chatting with you about the process. I’m currently looking for a 1997 to convert.
