Who is running tires with white letters?

I like to advertise

I loved the Grabbers on my Frontier. Not sure I'd like them white-letter out on my 4Runner, though. The BFGs and Duratracs are the only tires that look good with white letters out, in my opinion. Although, the Grabbers don't look bad on that color.

I've always been a fan of white letter out.
If the swampers on my '87 came in white letter, they would be out too.

IMO it depends on the brand since some have nice looking lettering like BFGs and the Goodyears aren't too bad but on the other hand I think Bridgestone has some of the worst looking lettering and others are just too plain.

I like my lettering inside but out wouldn't have looked too bad either.

Some Bridgestone Revo's, white letter out. I could go either way on this subject when you're talking about light colored trucks. However, on a dark truck, it's a no brainer: black walls out.

I used to go white out. It was the hot rodder in me. If you wheel in the rocks the white gets torn up fast and looks bad. The white is softer than a black wall. I now go black out!

Decided to try white out when I changed rims and thought it didnt look half bad. I think on something sporty I probably wouldnt have though.

I didn't care at first since my wheels came with the white lettering on the outside. They have grown on me.

First off, I'm old, and second, white out has always been cool for us older folks. Everybody displayed there white letters back in the day.
Now when I get my bumpers built and new tires, everything will be blacked out, wheels, bumpers, tires and anything else that grabs me.

i think it depends on your tire, is it the bold white lettering? or the outlined white lettering?
i have the rugged trails and those are outlined white.
i wasnt paying attention and have 3 white letters out and one black letters out HAHA
it dont bother me much..

BFGs are one of the few tires that have nice looking lettering so white out works for them but most tires have cheesey lettering and cheapens the truck a bit IMO.
I like the Goodyear lettering but they get beat up off road and keeping the letters white is more trouble than I want to deal with after an off road venture.

Black! I've never understood what the appeal is of having the white out. What truly looks good about it?

There is no appeal to me, it looks cheap and tacky on any vehicle - the last vehicle that looked cool on was the 1976 Trans Am.

To me nothing looks worse then smeared, missing -or unequally faded white letters on tires. But thats just me....
