Who's sleeping 3+ in a RTT?

Well it was a decent night to sleep outdoors in MN. Last night it was about 42. I had cold weather gear on and a cheap 0 degree sleeping from Amazon. Which by the way was a steal of a deal! I slept pretty good for being a light sleeper. My kids both got out at some point to use the bathroom and I didn't move. Mattress pad is sturdy enough for me (180lbs). Im 5'11 and it was perfect size. I would day if you are over 6 foot you will need to sleep the long way which may bring this thing to a 3 person only tent. So far for $879 I feel it is a steal.

Nice...I’m 5’10” and it’s the same with our Mt. Rainier. Glad it worked out!

My boys are requesting we sleep in it tonight. Although it will just be in our driveway, I will report back!

For rack I am just using Yakima bars and towers. Specifically the Timberline towers and their 50" Bars

This is the only other picture I have. It is sitting about 3 inches over my sunroof. I am actually considering moving the front bar forward all the way so I can bring it forward another inch or two. In this picture you can not fully open the back.

Did the kids sleep in it with that heavy grade? They didn't roll down to the edge of the tent?

I've slept 4 adults in my tent. The k-9 rack with its multiple weight distribution points and the rtt feels very secure with approx 800 lbs. This is probably the max I'd do since I'm not too confident the overhang portion of the tent can handle any more weight.

I'm considering getting a smittybilt XL also but have the factory rails. Do you have any pictures that show how far the rtt extends off the back? Did you end up moving the front bar forward?

we slept 4 deep in a CVT Mt. Rainier, in sleeping bags: mom, dad, 13 and 11 year old, around 600 lbs. was tight but all the hiking helped us all sleep well. kicking our 13 year old out into a Warbonnet hammock system next time tho. haha...
