breaks squishy and susp too soft

Hard to get used to the 2015's brakes, i can't seem to find the right amount of petal that doesn't cause a nose diving situation.

Love the look from the side and the back, the front is horrid.

The back of the driver seat. It feels like there is a brick/2x4/15lb dumbbell or maybe the head of a 15 pound sledgehammer somewhere around or below the lumbar jamming into my lower back no matter what I do. Sitting in an all metal folding chair is about 10 times more comfortable. If it wasn't for the airbags and active headrest B.S I would have already gutted the entire back of the seat except for the foam.

2015 SR5 Premium just under 1,000 miles. I'm 5'10 200Lbs.

Stupid question, but have you deflated the lumbar support?

I really love my 4Runner. I have had my '15 LE for three weeks now and love every time I get in it to drive. I find myself running senseless errands to drive it. :-). If there is one thing, it would be the lack of a V8 option for me. We had a 2007 LE V8 that had over 200k miles on it and it was awesome. Our new one has a third row now with the two kiddies just in case. As I think about the engine in the '15, it isn't that bad. Yes, it could use more torque and power but I haven't had any issue with it. Our other car is a 2013 BMW X5 5.0 with the m-performance package which gave it a little more HP than the other 5.0's and torque so it has 455 HP and 425 torque or so. Yes, I love that power but there is something about the 4Runner that gives me comfort and confidence. Not that I am not confident in the X5 but it is just different. I love both cars for different reasons. If Toyota releases a V8 in the next gen release I will trade our '15 4Runner in for it. I am not expecting that to happen so I will be keeping this one for a long time.

You have a 15 LE in red. Thats is such a bad ass setup. My wife and I went back and forth on Red or Pearl White. In the end I just told her to pick one and she took the pearl white. Now every time we see a rare red LE were jealous. Its all good though the pearl white is sweet.

Thanks!! I really like the white as well and it was a close second. Actually, the two in the lot were the red and the white.

STX,

Yes, I have the lumbar all the way "off" as I prefer in just about every vehicle that I drive.

I have unzipped the back of the driver seat and I believe its basically where everything comes together inside the seat.

The metal bars where the lumbar plate is mounted to sticks out into the seat about 3 inches. The pressure plate for the active headrest system keeps this lower part of the lumbar frame sticking out directly into your lower back. The only thing between your back and that metal plate and the entire bottom edge of the lumbar is maybe 2 inches of foam.

If I push in directly over that spot with my hands it feels like there's only a few inches of padding before you make contact with that plate.

There's simply no give to the entire back of the seat. No wire springs or anything. Its rock solid other than a inch or two of foam.

Hate that the new car smell is fading away, hate that I don't want my kids to ride on it because they will make a mess, hate the obsession I have with it...so much hatred!

My dislike is the Seats, lack of power and pour lighting ( led head and fog lights would be great)

The fact that it makes it look like I have money that I don't.

**** the stupid ass valances that rip off in mud (funny that the sr5 has the best approach and departure angles, also looks cleaner IMO).

The fact that I had to buy a pedal commander to make it do what it should out of the box.

Horrendous brake dive and not the best pads out of the box.

All problems that can/will be fixed.

The location of the trailer light plug and having to crawl under to plug it in every time and needing an extension for every trailer I have pulled so far because of being under so far.

Because they put a sharkfin antenna on the roof that is higher than the roof rack rails. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

I would go back and buy a non-KDSS 4runner.
And I do wish it had the 5.7. But, overall it’s nice ride. Oh and the fellows at work call it a sorority car. In my city 99% of the 4Runner drivers are female.

-No keyless entry/start
-No auto headlights
-5-speed auto
(All things being relative, none of these are "hate," just dislike)

But in all reality, I only hate that I didn't buy my 5th gen sooner
