Why I love the Fall ...

I've been building a little "Chalet" up in Northern Vt on weekends. Just a 10' x 12' elevated platform to camp on. Its slow going working alone but the views have been stunning. I just have to stop and take it in.

Very nice. I just took some pictures on my home yesterday in one of the state parks here in NY. Just beautiful scenery

Where in VT are you?

Beautiful! Love the New England fall colours! A few years ago my Wife and I drove/ camped across the country, specifically to see New England. We were on the road for 6 weeks and crossed 26 States starting in Washington- thru Maine, up thru Quebec, Ont etc.... We loved the Fall colours, as we left New England in September. We really loved VT and Maine. Too bad I didnt have my 4Runner then, as I might have gotten a little more adventurous!

Cool. Yeah anywhere in the Catskills / Adirondacks this time of year is beautiful. I spend a lot of time in VT in the winter snowboarding. Not the same once winter hits as all the leaves are gone and its basically mute colors but thanks for sharing those pics.
 
Looks gorgeous! We're seeing some color out here but nothing like that. I need to see the foliage on the east coast! The Gf is from north Conway, maybe next fall.

beautiful. fall is my favorite, Im up in vermont also! living in burlington. if you ever are down this way let me know. Nice work on the chalet.
 
I love Vermont. My wife and i went to Ludlow, VT for our honeymoon. From what i heard Okemo isn't the best skiing, but it was great for us. It is a beautiful state.
 
Those pictures are gorgeous. I am not a fan of the cold weather, but you can't beat those pics.

Thanks for all the comments, Mother Nature is the artist. The pics with the hills in the background are taken from the platform; you can see some of the Presidential Range (White Mountains) in the very back.
Mt. Washington would be a little farther to the right.

I'm not a hunter but the hunting is great up here and yeah; that will make a great deer/bear stand. (gotta bring your own ladder though) This property is in the middle of ~10,000 acres of wildlife management area so its tends to be loaded with deer, black bear and all sorts of other critters. I don't believe in posting land, just ask that folks respect it.

Looks like a nice deer blind! Colors are just now changing in Washington, about 3 weeks later than normal
