I'm speaking from a personal point of view and not those of the rest of the T4R.org staff, admins and owner(s) of the site.
The problem is it creates confusion for members of where to post. We have sub-forums for different regions, upcoming meets and past meets. A lot of our members go out and wheel together for their meets. Then there's the Gallery, Off-Roading and Off-Topic. I can't speak for anyone else, but I don't read or check in with every sub-forum here.
As an example, if I took a trip with the 4Runner half way across the country maybe through the back country and on a few fireroads here and there, should I post in the regional sub-forum (but then is it under where I'm located or where I've been), General Discussion (since the adventure shouldn't be regulated to a specific generation of 4Runners), Gallery (to show off scenery of where the 4Runner's been), Off-Roading (it's only off pavement and a little dirt) or Off-Topic (because it's where I've traveled to in the 4Runner, but have pics of different places without the 4Runner). Personally, any of them seems appropriate depending how you look at it and there's no right or wrong.
I'm not trying to shoot down your idea or suggestion either.
If you have pictures (with the 4Runner) in your adventures, I say post them up in the Gallery or Off-Roading, if you've gone off road in your adventures. If a moderator feels it's better suited in another sub-forum, they'll move it. Alternatively, if you posted in the wrong sub-forum, you can PM a mod to move it as well.
