Why so slow?

I have owned 5 vehicles in my life, a chrysler, two honda's, an infiniti and now my 4runner. I have been over the net on forum and forum with different car lovers and enthusiasts. Messages boards are always booming with 100's of new topics daily. This place is just so slow. Are there any other good 4runner sites on the net. I want to learn about this thing by reading some good, new stuff. I look forward to staying around here for a while, just seems like there is nothing to post about.

Anybody ever feel the same way?

Well, if he thinks that WE'RE slow, then yotatech will likely burst his bubble! :D
 
been lurkin for awhile b4 I registered. Everything has been discussed here, you just need to upgrade your searching style:) ..no need to go fast..and they need to catch up..that's why they appear to be fast..:cool: :cool:
 
I agree this place is dead, especially the general chat.

I think this site could use an overhaul and new members.
 
I know there is information here. I am not looking into building an off-road rig. Odd thing is that every message board I have ever been on the general section and off-topic section are booming with new discussions and random things to talk about. I feel like I could post here, come back a week later and not miss anything, lol. I'm not hating on the forum. I just find it funny.
 
Thai don't get bent out of shape. I personally like this forum. It is very well organized and has a LOT of information. As for everyone else, during the week a lot of us work and pay for our trucks, catch us on a weekend. Take that as you will, I am not going to start an arguement with everyone.
 
Yes to the quality. I was talking more about the off-topic. I know a lot of people, well me... when not busy I browse a lot. Just nothing really off topic in here. Like hobbies, photography, pets, life, politics. You guys are all business, lol.

By no means and I meaning any of this in a negative way about the site before somebody jumps me.
 
I will be among the first to talk about my pets. I love my weimaraners, and love telling people how much work two of them are lol. Politics, I try to stay away from. As for hobbies, Sounds odd but I love road trips, just visiting friends and family (the military moved me away from my family). As for life, ehh, I live in Missouri lol.

No worries.

I can't speak for anyone other than myself, but for the longest time I did not visit off-topic, polls or even dealer experience. My excuse, I could blame my small LCD and the lack of vertical resolution that I didn't scroll down to the far bottom or laziness. I spend plenty of time, IMO, in reading the sub-forums that I find interest in.

My two cents.
 
I think one reason this website doesn't have a TON of posts is because it doesn't have a LOT of registered users. I know a lot of people look around for their information without registering.

I think another reason for the lack of posts is that the average age is probably older than a lot of other sites.

When I say lack of posts I do not mean that in a negative way. I believe this site has a very good amount of information and is very helpful. This site does what it was meant to do, educate people about 4runners. Other sites have gotten away from what they were meant to do and it really hinders the helpfulness of the site.

I am comparing this site to mainly caraudio.com. That's another site I spend a good bit of time on. Caraudio was meant to discuss car audio of course, but it has turned into anything but discussion on car audio.
