Why do rigs w/ arb or shrockworks bumpers and roofracks have wires connecting the two. I've seen them on various Landcruiser and T4r expedition builds. I'm thinking about picking up a new bumper and am curious as to the purpose.

Not sure unless it is for auxillary lights that are mounted on the roof-rack.

I think they are generally on more "expedition" type rigs. Just added protection to keep branches off the hood and windshield would be my best guess?
