Trying to decide what lift you to go with here. I have been studying the forums, yotatech.com and toyota-4runner.org, trying to see photos and get advice as to which lift to get and i am still a little confused. I have a 1999 toyota 4runner limited 4x4. it has 60,000 miles and all the suspension components are original. the truck is a daily driver and my only vehicle. i dont offroad, but i do tow a trailer with atvs, and my stock suspension squats like crazy. so im looking for a 3 inch lift that is going to be a good set up for a daily driver and weekend towing of atvs. i want to upgrade to 285/75/16 tires with a steel rockcrawler wheel, most likely with a 4inch back spacing. i was looking at the RUN3-DR (3inch front spacer lift, with ome 3 inch coil and front dif drop kit) and the OME3-RUN (ome front spring with top out spacer, and 3 inch ome rear spring ). which of the two do you recommend, and do you recomend the dif drop kit and the panhard bar bracket and new shocks? i also heard on the forums that since i have 1999 4runner that the stock coils are 1inch longer then most 3rd gen 4runner models, so will that affect how the truck sits if i use the spacer kit. also how stiff are the rear springs, i want to keep the squating to a limit when i tow.

I think the OME3-RUN kit would suite your needs best. I'm pretty sure that when ordering the kit you can choose the coils you want with the kit and I would probably go 881 upfront and 891 in the rear. The 891's can handle a little more weight so for towing they would be better than 890's. The 890 will do ight but I have them and notice they sag a bit with a trailer attached. 881's should be good for daily driving and an not too stiff. I would recommend changing out your shocks while your at as there probably near the end of there life. I recommend the Tokico trekmasters, there a great all round shock and I like how they ride. With this setup you should be able to clear 285's on stock wheels no problem and if you get the wheels it's a no brainer. I'd avoid the spacers as they will sag your springs eventually and then you'll be looking to replace those soon as well. As with any lift over 2inches I would recommend the the front diff drop. the pan hard isn't necessary but would be nice to grab if you can afford one right now. Otherwise it won't hurt anything without it. Another option worth mentioning incase you don't want to lift your truck 3" is the same kit you can get it with OME 906 rear coils and if you don't use the top out spacer you will get about 2" of lift all around. With this route though I'm not sure how the 285's would clear. If your going 285's and tow a lot especially in the mountains a lot of people say there's a noticable power decrease with the increased tire size. Just something else to think about. Hope this helps.
