Wider Runners

Does anyone know how much wider the Runner have gotten from 3rd get to 2018?
I like that 3rd gens aren’t wide and longgiant things.
The newer Runners seem more like suburban.

From Google, it looks like the 3rd gens can range from 66.5" to 70.9" (probably base vs limited), while a 5th gen is at 75.8".

So between 2004 and 2016 the width didn’t change?
And length stayed the same?
Glad I have a 3rd gen. I don’t want to “upgrade” to a wide hulk.

Actually looking at the pictures I posted you can see the width for 2004 (4th Gen) and 2016 (5th Gen) are not the same number of inches. Not sure if that is what you meant by change but yes each generation of 4Runner is a different width. The years I posted were for example only. If you want to see which years were which generation go to Wikipedia. It's an amazing resource that is easy to use.

I was surprised. I always thought the 5th gen had become gigantic compared to my 3rd gen. But once I drove one it really feels very similar overall.

Both the 4Runner and Tacoma got wider but not [much]taller. Still the same 'sit-on-the-floor' feeling you get with any minitruck/small car.
