wierd noises coming from front (video)

instead of trying to describe figured i would see if anyone has a suggestion as to what this new noise could be. It makes it when i'm accelerating and when i'm off the gas coasting into a parking spot or stop sign. they are kind of 2 different noises but just dont sound good.

Probably too easy but it sure sounds like the center cap on the wheel is either loose or falling apart.

My guess would be wheel bearings or cv axles. I'd jack up each front side until the wheel is off the ground and grab the wheel in various positions checking for wheel bearing play. I'd also inspect the cv boots for tears and loss of grease.

thanks for the suggestion. I went out and took a few pics, didnt feel much play with the tire butall the bushing seems rotted and cracked, CV boots on the back end on both sides has a little builtup on the outside, the boots werent cracked or broken or anything.

It's definitely a rotational sound. When's the last time you checked the front brakes? It might be the wear tab on one of the pads rubbing against the rotor letting you know the pads are worn out.

ok thanks, i havent checked them. I will take to meineke this week for a free brake check and see, i just bought it about a month ago.

You don't need a shop to check your brakes. I'm assuming you know how to jack up the vehicle and take off a wheel.

Sounds like my old 1st Gen 4Runner immediately before it shat out a rear u-joint after I knocked the driveshaft on a large rock on a trail. I strongly suggest you check your driveshaft(s) for play at the u-joint.

Not so much rotational play but front/back up/down play. It'll be pretty apparent.

If you have a grease gun and the appropriate type(s) of grease, hit all of the zerks on the front and rear driveshafts and see if that impacts the sound at all.

Best case, you find your problem. Worst case, you just gave your u joints some fresh grease.

Do you have any vibrations from the inside? I've only seen a catastrophic failure on a wheel bearing once, and it was obvious, I felt the vibration inside and the tire physically wobbled on the outside.

That video sounded like you were driving a 90's model Ford or Chevy

just an update. the day after i made this post with the video i went out to drive it and try to figure out more of what was happening and everything was silent. no squealing, chatter, nothing you could hear in the video could be heard anymore. Not quite sure what to think.... i do hold on extra tight now to the steering wheel just in preparation for the big moment if it shall come!

maybe dust or something was in the brakes? who know.

Could have been a rock stuck between your brake dust shields and rotor. Or something wrapped around your driveshaft that's no longer there.

I was thinking the same exact thing when the OP said the sound just went away. I had this happen to me after driving through a freshly repaved highway with loose gravel all over the road. A piece of gravel must have gotten stuck near one of my rotors and it made lots of noise until it finally wore down or fell out.
